Summary
As a Logistics Coordinator for mobilizations you are responsible for finding the best logistical solution to bring all required assets to our projects worldwide. Time and cost being the main drivers. You organize & follow up each mobilization from A to Z, in all its aspects.
Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the shipping of project cargo for the DEME companies. This can be container transport, road or airtransport, RORO or breakbulk.

You are responsible for the execution of transport contracts, including preparation, co-ordination with various stakeholders (project team on site; agents; local harbor authorities; HQ departments procurement, insurance, legal, …) and execution on site if required.

You do the negotiation of contracts.

You coordinate between project site, agent, custom agent and forwarder.

You are responsible for operational follow-up of shipments to site.

You follow up voyage of our self propelled vessels and have a role in the bunker strategy.

You send out RFQ’s to forwarders and find the best solution (economic and within schedule).

You organize, co-ordinate and follow up towages and semi-submersible shipments.
Your profile
-
You have experience in forwarding project cargo and logistics and/or logistics management (is a plus).

You have a few years experience in the maritime industry, having a nautical background (is a plus).

Commercial: you have experience sending out RFQ’s, summarizing viable solutions, negotiating prices, drafting contracts.

Operational: you are able to show leadership skills in an operational environment; know how to coordinate between all parties involved, follow up customs documentation and make sure the insurance is covered.

Technical: you have an affinity with the technical aspects.

You are cost conscious and accurate.

You provide service as a second nature.

You are solution-driven.

You are fluent in English.

You will be based at HQ Zwijndrecht BE, and are willing to work abroad for short periods of time a few times per year.
