Background Check Specialist [United States]


 

ASAP Drug Solutions, a division of Tang & Company which provides drug and alcohol screening and custom background checks, has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Background Check Specialist. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, organized, detail-oriented, with a professional and respectful attitude, efficient and able to prioritize tasks.

About The Role: A successful candidate will be reliable, flexible, able to work with little direction, consistently meet all deliverables, and adaptable to partnering with teammates across the globe and from different departments who have different work style.

Responsible for making Previous Employer Inquiries. Conduct Background Screening Verifications in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), state and federal laws, as well as ASAP Drug Solutions protocols and guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain confidentially at all times
  • Ability to navigate computer applications while speaking with clients and applicants
  • Answer inbound and outbound phone calls and voice messages through the call center software
  • Represent the company, its employees and the work environment with a positive attitude and demeanor.?
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal employees and external candidates about personal data detailed processes, ensuring a smooth process and excellent experience for all
  • Consistently report out status of employees throughout various stages of the process to stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Conduct a detailed audit of files and documents for missing or incomplete information. If file is found to be incomplete, make appropriate notations in the database
  • Stay current on company policies, departmental procedures, FMCSA Regulations and Federal and State regulations a
  • Communicate and contact clients on the phone, email
  • Become intimately familiar with our Background Check vendors to discover areas of opportunity related to processes, systems, and integration
  • Participate in cross-training to enhance product and service knowledge across business units to effectively and efficiently support all clients and to ensure development of career path?
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Current FCRA Certification (or the ability to obtain after hire)
  • Ability to manage difficult situations with clients, providing clients with information, data, and company procedures.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills, highly organized with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work independently or collaboratively.
  • Ability to think in a logical, and organized manner while multi-tasking
  • Strong deductive reasoning and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision after trained
  • Valid State Driver’s License
