The Siemens Automotive Business Unit (ABU) remote test infrastructure relies on IP cameras and on devices called Test Controllers, which basically consist of a Raspberry Pi equipped with a relay board. At the moment about fifty such devices are connected to target boards and placed on shelves. This infrastructure has proved very useful to allow teams located in different geographic areas to work remotely. The number of remote devices is growing and at the same time the effort to keep this infrastructure in operation is increasing (configuration of new test setups, flashing boards, adding/removing peripherals, debugging connection problems, etc.). To cope with this increase in effort we are looking for a motivated working student to support our colleagues at our office in Munich or Villingen-Schwenningen.

Your tasks will involve:
- Automate creation of the traceability matrix for training SW requirements to SW Units
- Parse the Detailed design document (HTML) where to find the source code
- Automate the download of the source code from the Source Control System (Bitbucket)
- Automate the download of the SW requirements from the Requirements Management System (Polarion)
- Automate the tool that creates the traceability matrices (ReqTracer)
- Generate report for traceability between SW Architecture and Detailed Design
- Parse the architecture model (Rhapsody)
- Parse the Detailed Design (HTML)
- Create a report about tracing architecture to Detailed Design

- You are enrolled at a Germany university
- Knowledge of the English language is a pre-requisite to be able to communicate with teams abroad
- Interest in Automation and scripting
- Well versed with Python scripting
- Interest in REST APIs
- Interest in automotive software development processes
- Interest in SW Tooling
