The Role
We are looking for a dynamic and team focused Health and Wellbeing professional to join our team. Located at Port of Esperance, Albany or Bunbury and reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Health and Wellbeing Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of Southern Ports’ Employee Health and Wellbeing Program including events across all sites.

The Health and Wellbeing Coordinator will be responsible for organising health checks, guest speakers and other annual and ad hoc health and wellbeing events such as 10,000 step challenge and provide information to Southern Ports’ employees around physical, mental and nutritional health as well as stress and fatigue management.

This casual position will appeal to a suitably qualified Health and Wellbeing specialist, experienced in supporting a varied team and will require innovative thinking and a calm, focused approach.

Skills and Experience
  • Completion of Year 10
  • Certification in Sports science or equivalent will be highly regarded
  • Experience in the health, nutrition or fitness sector
  • Experience in a similar role would be desirable
  • Familiarity with MS Office package
  • Knowledge of health and wellbeing initiatives and annual events
  • Ability to research new health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good time management skills
Requirements
To be eligible for this casual role, applicants must reside in or be willing to relocate to Esperance, Perth or Bunbury and provide proof of Australian citizenship or permanent residency. The successful applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card and undergo a pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol testing.
